SC 3d test client

Postby kyled » Wed Nov 06, 2013 10:52 pm

So i have uploaded a test copy of the game engine for people to peak at and try.

http://www.gecko-games.com/test2/test.html

You will need the latest version of chrome. Firefox will work when I take a bug out with mouse clicking.

Controls - W/S Forward back
A/D Rotate left Right
Q/E strafe left right
Space fire

Mouse click and hold rotates camera. Release places camera behind you, still need a little tweak.
Scroll mouse changes zoom.

There is ship collision detection, not running 100% as of yet (sometimes hits don't register.)
And an FYI, when you hold space, there is about 150 bullets visible.

Also looking for feedback on portable devices that can run it(needs chrome browser to run it atm)
Tillt screen forward / back, and rotate left and right to turn.
No gun firing for them yet.

Screen doesn't lock into proper position yet. It'll be a landscape screen, one way turns reverse, other turns it fine.

- Nexus 7 tablets work.

I like the new form of moving, it adds a little more control and would be very interesting in the implementation of combat.
I'd ask a question about the shape of the craft, but I think I'll ignore it for now.

It's just a temporary dummy model for the craft, and yes, I know what it looks like.

As previously said, you must be using Chrome of Firefox.
I use Torch personally, but it's chrome-based, so I have no issues. (#TorchFTW)
