Consumer forum directs company to replace faulty AC

Postby JoeClark » Tue Nov 28, 2017 8:00 am

Hello All,

In the written arguments before the South Goa Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, the company contended that "the failure of the condenser in the AC was due to high humidity as the complainant's house is located in the coastal area."
Countering the argument of the complainant, Sharmila Mascarenhas from Colva, that she has been using another AC manufactured by the same company for the last 12 years without such complaints, the counsel for the company informed the forum that the problem occurred as "the AC was fitted with aluminium coils, whereas the old AC had copper coils which gives better performance."
